Sk8er Bro who Tested Positive for Coronavirus Is So Totally Sick Bro
This is Tyler Horn. Tyler Horn is sick… AS FUK
Person Lying on Sofa
Tyler Horn is well known around the Elm Ridge Skate Park and the town of Rocky Hill. Mr. Horn’s reputation among his Sk8er bros and the likes of the townspeople differ rather drastically.
“Yeah, Tyler landed an ollie impossible his first time at the park and the kid has been freaking legendary ever since. RIP to Tyler. Oh, he’s not dead?”
— A CHILL YOUNG BRO
“I’ve seen that energy drink guzzling low life around town. I won’t go as far as to say I’m happy to hear he is sick, but maybe this will humble the kid a little.”
— AN ANGRY OLD MAN
The townspeople’s responses to our questions surrounding Tyler Horn’s testing positive for the novel Coronavirus was telling. The people’s responses were telling of the deep latent biases in the community. It seemed if you lived in suburban Connecticut, you fell into a category, and you could not be seen in a light that allowed you to step outside of that categorization. The old man was cynical not because he was naturally angry but because it was assumed he was a bit of sad sack and with this being assumed after a while it became truth. The young skater was not inherently mischievous or “a low life,” but it did seem that due to preconceived notions of the types of people in the small town, those individuals morphed to their expectations at some point.
It would take some drastic world event to change the ways of this small town. Oh, we’ve got that? Ok, let’s make the most of it.
